Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture Adds New Project Manager, Matthew Dumich, Winner Of The 2013 AIA National Young Architect Award

CHICAGO, January 14, 2014 – Senior Architect Matthew Dumich, AIA, has joined the staff of Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) as a Project Manager working on the firm’s high-performance projects around the world.

AS+GG is pleased to add Matthew Dumich to the firm’s expanding Chicago office. Matt holds his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received the prestigious Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award from the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning in 2008.

During his 12+ year career, Matt has become a skilled team leader and consensus builder who is known for his collaborative design approach and ability to execute complex, high-performance projects. Dumich is also a respected leader in the profession, currently serving on the AIA Chicago Board of Directors. He recently was honored for his outstanding service and leadership with the 2013 AIA National Young Architects Award and the 2012 AIA Chicago Dubin Family Young Architect Award as well as the 2011 Building Design + Construction 40 Under 40 award.

Matt is frequently invited to lecture at leading design institutions including the Illinois Institute of Technology, Judson University and the School of the Art Institute and to present at industry events such as the AIA National Convention and the AIA Grassroots Leadership Conference.

Prior to joining AS+GG, Dumich was an Associate at Valerio Dewalt Train Associates in Chicago, where his responsibilities included design, research, project management, staff mentoring and nurturing client relationships.  He also previously worked at DeStefano + Partners in Chicago.
