Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture Promotes Senior Architect Marc Cerone to Director

CHICAGO, March 4, 2014 – Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture is pleased to announce the promotion of senior architect, Marc Cerone, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP to the position of Director.

Marc works with AS+GG's Interiors group, focusing on interior fit-outs for high-profile international projects like Kingdom Tower, Chengdu Greenland Tower and Wuhan Greenland Center. He is responsible for overseeing design projects and presentations within the studio, researching materials, construction document detailing and organization, and coordinating with contractors and clients.

AS+GG’s Director of Interior Design, John Burcher, says of the promotion, “Marc is an exceptional talent in our firm. He is skilled at creating interior spaces that expand upon and enhance the broader architectural vision of a project. Before joining AS+GG in 2008, Marc spent 17 years at Marvin Herman & Associates where he specialized in high-end residential and corporate work throughout the Chicago area. Major interior projects included the renovations of Loyola University's Madonna Della Strada Chapel and Lewis Towers, as well as several Chicago boutiques. He has also designed residential interior architecture and interiors throughout the continental United States and Mexico.

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Marc lived in France for a year while an undergraduate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since then he has traveled extensively in Europe, North and South America.
